Ever since he became a Devon County Councillor, Liberal Democrat Frank Letch has been trying to help Residents of Bow (in Mid Devon) get the road surface at a major junction, Station Road with the A3072, repaired.

"Residents are caught between a rock and a hard place. Two water companies may be contributing to undeground water which causes the road surface to disintegrate, and Devon County Council uses the lack of action by the water companies as an excuse not to resurface the road," commented Frank.

"I've raised this repeatedly at Council, and will continue to do so, this is not acceptable and poses a major hazard for local residents. It's the major junction in Bow and adjacent to the Primary School. I'm afraid it reflects Conservative controlled Devon County Council's inability to get to grips with the disintegration of our road networks."

Local residents joined Frank to examine the road surface with one commenting "It's a b****y disgrace!"

Frank conducts a monthly 'surgery' at Bow Village Hall. "This is THE issue for local residents. I've called on Devon County Council to get to grips with this problem and I will continue to do so."
